The lovely season of Autumn has arrived, and with it brings rain, cooler weather, sweatshirts, colorful leaves, football, etc, etc. Some people absolutely adore the season, while others hate that the leaves, if not raked, they can destroy someone’s yard.
Some people prepare for the season differently than others. Some break out the hoodies, others grab the rakes, while some just grab a pumpkin spice scented candle and sit by a window. There isn’t a wrong way to get ready, but here are a few ideas.
Since fall is technically here already, it’s a little too late to prepare, however, that doesn’t mean you can’t get settled into the season!
One easy way to get prepared is to reorganize your closet. Since the weather is cooling off, it’s a good idea to bring the long-sleeve shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts and jackets to the closest part of the closet. Also switch the shorts with the pants for an easier way to get those warmer clothes. Dressing appropriately is always a good idea.
Another good way for being ready is atmosphere. Decorate for the fall months. Having summer decorations around makes the dog days stay in the house. Get rid of those humid things in place for some leaves, pumpkins, and other autumn related decor.
Finally, food is always a good way to get those fall vibes in play. Let’s face it. A lemonade and corn on the cob isn’t COMPLETELY fall food. That doesn’t mean you can’t eat it, but things more akin to fall makes a meal much more timely. Pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc. These things may seem like purely thanksgiving food, but they can fit in anywhere in autumn.
Fall is a good time of year. But it’s only as amazing as you make it. Have some creativity this season. Spread the vibes to those around you! And don’t forget to change your clocks when the time comes.
