As fall rapidly approaches, the leaves change colors. Some may wonder when Autumn comes around that the leaves change. Few know it is actually from the lack of Chlorophyll in the leaves when the temperature drops and the sun hides. When it gets cold and the days shorten, the leaves slowly stop making Chlorophyll, which is what dyes the leaf green. The leaf then shows it’s true colors and the yellow and orange pigments in the leaf come out. Over cast and rainy days are what bring out vibrant red and orange colors where as cold freezing days give us faded reds and oranges.
