Our wonderful Concert Choir has been entertaining people at different events for years now. So far, they have sang the national anthem at the Lake Erie Monster’s game (ice hockey), which was on the 17th of November. This past Sunday, November 27, they performed at the Brimfield Tree Lighting. Their next concert will be on the 17th of December with the Brass Band of the Western Reserve. Following this, they share a Christmas Concert with the Field Symphonic Concert Band, where they will each perform their own songs, then come together to perform one last song. On February 27th, the Concert Choir will be singing the national anthem once again at the Cleveland Cavalier’s game. In March, they will be attending the Music In Our Schools Month (MIOSM). If you end up missing the Christmas Concert, you get a chance to see them again on May 18th for their Pops Concert. Then summing up the year, they will sing with their seniors one last time at the Field High School Graduation ceremony on June 5th.
I asked one of the members of the FHS Concert Choir, sophomore Gabriella Wyslutsky, about her experience and she said, “Concert Choir is very fun. I think it’s an experience everyone who can sing should want to do.” Then she summed it up by saying, “…definitely glad to be apart of it.”
