On Sunday, Alabama, Clemson, Ohio state, and Washington were selected by the NCAA football committee as the top 4 rankings for the final 2017 playoffs. Alabama ranking in as number one comes as no surprise to the fact that they are defending national champions, and have won four of the last seven titles. Ohio state ranked in as number 3 in the top 4 is the first non-conference champion to make the playoffs. The Buckeyes lost to penn state, as a result, Ohio state didn’t make the Big Ten. Ranking in as number 4 is Washington. ” The strength of schedule of Washington has been a concern for this selection committee. But what we talked about this morning was the quality wins Washington has this year. They’ve played good teams and they’ve beaten good teams,” Kirby Hocutt stated. on December 31st, Alabama plays Washington in the Peach bowl. Additionally Clemson plays Ohio state in the Fiesta bowl. The winners of the two games will compete for the national championship title January 9th, in Tampa, Florida. There is no doubt that the upcoming games will be something to remember.
