What it takes to be an Athlete

To be a great athlete, you have to have a lot of hard working traits.

You have to be committed. You have to be willing to work hard and spend a lot of time practicing and working on that sport.

Disciplined. You have to be willing to workout and eat healthy in order for your body to be in shape and fit.

Aggressive. You have to want to succeed and you cannot let others (the opponent) get in the way of that.

Competitiveness.  The thought of competing should make you excited and give you a thrill. You should want to show your talent and do everything you can to win.

Drive. You have to be driven enough to push yourself to improve.

In an interview with Jarod Krznarich, I asked him what he thinks it takes to be an athlete. He said, “Determination.” When I asked him how he is a determined athlete he responded, “I push myself to become a better runner all the time.I work during the off season to stay in shape and so that i have improved by the time cross country season comes around.”

Being an athlete takes a lot of hard work and dedication but is a rewarding activity in the end.
