Dwayne Johnson was first known as “The Rock,” a professional wrestler. Johnson went to The University of Miami where he played for the Miami Hurricanes football team. There he won a national championship in 1991 and after an injury ended Johnson’s football career, he began wrestling for the World Wrestling Federation. Johnson was born into a wrestling family with his grandfather, Peter Maivia, and his father, Peter Johnson, being professional wrestlers. “The Rock” continued the wrestling tradition in his family and won the heavyweight title six times and the Tag Team Championships five times throughout his career.
Later on, Johnson retired from wrestling and became an actor. He has had such a successful acting career starring in movies such as The Mummy Returns, Tooth Fairy, Furious Seven, San Andreas, and many more.
Johnson was born on May 2, 1972 in California. He has a daughter, Simone Alexandra, with his first wife, Dany Garcia and he is now dating Lauren Hashian. He currently lives in Florida and continues to star in films.
