The Cavs have signed free agent Larry Sanders to replace Andrew Bogut. The Cavs had signed center Andrew Bogut a few weeks ago, but within the first 58 seconds Bogut played with the Cavs, he fractured his tibia. A few days after that the Cavs waived Bogut’s contract and signed free agent power forward Larry Sanders.
Sanders was drafted 15th overall in the 2010 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. He played 5 seasons with the Bucks and averaged 6.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game. Sanders spent 2 years in free agency before being signed to the Cavs.
“I’m grateful to this organization that’s given me a second chance and invested in me, and I plan on doing the same,” Sanders continued, “I spent some time away from basketball, getting myself together, starting my company out in L.A., and developing myself as a man, and it’s been a great journey. At this point, I feel really confident in myself as far as coming back to the game.”
