Field had their first meet of the season on Tuesday and the boys came in last place losing to Coventry and Cloverleaf. The final scores were Field 47/ Coventry 80, and Field 58/ Cloverleaf 70.
Steven Berry took second in the long jump, jumping 19’2″. The team of Soren Hottensmith, Bret Lowden, Brandon Bowser and Andrew Johnson took first in the 4×800 meter relay, running it in 8 minutes and 59 seconds. Jacob Lupardus took first in the 110 meter hurdles, running it in 17.7 seconds. The team of Steven Berry, Mason Campanelli, Zach Mack, and Alex Savering took first in the 4×200 meter Relay, running it in 1 minute and 44.7 seconds. Justice Rose took first in the 1600 meter, running it in 5 minutes and 1 second. Andrew Johnson took first in the 400 meter, running it in 56.7 seconds. Brett Lowden took first in the 3,200 meter, running it in 11 minutes and 2 seconds. The 4×400 meter relay was won by the team of Jacob Lupardus, Soren Hottensmith, Brandon Bowser and Andrew Johnson; they ran it in 4 minutes. Isiah Prather took second in the discus, throwing 100’10” and also took second in the shot put, throwing it 38’7″.
“I think it being our first meet, we didn’t have experience,” Isiah continued, “with more experience I think we can do a lot better, we went against two of the better teams, I think we’ll do better at the invitational this Friday.”
