As most avid Starbucks or internet users are aware, the Unicorn Frappuccino was released. Released April eighteenth, the frap is only going to be around for a few days, it is going to be off the menu April twenty-third.
The unicorn Frappuccino is colorful, so colorful that it changes colors! When stirred, it turns a purple and pink color. The flavor changes too, from a sweet to a sour flavor. The drink is a mango base, sweetened with a sour middle. It’s topped with whipped cream and sprinkles, making it look truly magical.
This drink is quite beautiful, but many say that beauty is its only appeal.
“Even with the tart undertones, the drink was sickeningly sweet,” – a quote from Kate Taylor from her article at Business Insider.
“To be clear, this is the worst drink I have ever purchased in my life. That is not an understatement, either: the Starbucks’ Unicorn tastes like a combination of the topical fluoride used by dental hygienists and metallic sludge,” – Chris Riotta from NewsWeek stated.
Many bad reviews have been made of the frappuccino, but some were good too.
“It’s good! It’s tangy. It reminds me of watered-down lemonade.”
“I love it! This exceeded my expectations. I’m impressed that Starbucks really captured the spirit of the unicorn.”
These were two recorded reactions on PopSugar.
Although there were some bad reactions, the drink will only grace our presence for five days.
