The track team went to Norton on Tuesday to face Norton and Streetsboro. Field lost to Norton, 47-81 and lost to Streetsboro, 59-69.
Isaiah Prather took first in the shot put, he threw 42 feet 8 inches. Isaiah Prather took second in the discus, he threw 114 feet 9 inches. Ryan Rohr took first in the high jump, he jumped 5 feet 6 inches. Jacob Lupardus ran for first in the 110 meter hurdles, running it in 17.4 seconds. Zach Mack ran for third in the 100 meter, running it in 12.2 seconds. Alex Savering took first in the 400 meter, running it in 56.3 seconds. Jacob Lupardus took second in the 300 meter hurdles, running it in 47.8 seconds. Bret Lowden took first in the 3,200 meter, he ran it in 10 minutes and 49 seconds. The 4×400 meter relay team of Alex Savering, Jacob Lupardus, Brandon Bowser, and Andrew Johnson took first, running it in 3 minutes and 49 seconds. Andrew Johnson took first in the 800 meter, running it in 2 minutes and 7 seconds, Johnson also took first in the 1600 meter, running it in 4 minutes and 46 seconds.
“I feel like we’re getting there, for PTC, I think everybody’s getting there times down and stuff, Johnson continued, “we’ll be ready for PTC.”
The girls team beat Streetsboro, 75-53, but lost to Norton, 60-68.
The track team will compete in the Marlington invitational this Friday at Marlington high school. The meet starts at 5:00 pm.
